My Approach to Therapy is integrative


Including Person Centered, aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness.


Congruence is also called genuineness.  This means that I will be my real self and authentic in our relationship.

Unconditional Positive Regard

The next Rogerian core principle is unconditional positive regard. Rogers believed that for people to grow and fulfil their potential, it is important that they are valued as a human being with faults included as indeed we all have our faults. 

This means that I will provide you with a deep and genuine compassion for you, warts and all.



Empathy is about true understanding.  This refers to my understanding with sensitivity your experience and feelings and being truly in your shoes for our counselling hour, and never judging you in any way.

I believe that when individuals are provided with these 3 core conditions, they begin to flourish and embrace more positive ways of behaving, thinking and feeling.
